From Vince:
285 is a mess! Cars everywhere at windy point! Drive safe and move over for emergency crews !!

It clears up at the canyon. Now just a rain slush mix.

Per a traveler 20 minutes ago in the Conifer/Pine/Bailey group :

I just made the commute from Harris Park. Roads had not been plowed from Bailey to Conifer made the trip fun in my little car. Once u get to Aspen Park and plowed roads not to bad. Of course still slow going but not a bad drive. Once into the city roads were crap again.

40 minutes ago:

The husband just called after making it down to work in Arvada. He's never impressed by poor weather driving but he said this one is a serious situation. He said he hasn't seen it this bad in years. Please be very, very careful friends. You know it's bad when Jeffco closes. Blessed day to you all.

From Melissa:
Heavy snow packed. Just past hwy 8 N bound. Moving along. Open.

Update from Melissa:
On 470. Slow and steady. Came down from Bailey on RTD, with chains. Most everyone seems to be doing ok. Have not seen any accidents.

To my surprise it only took me 10 extra minutes to get from Bailey to the store in Evergreen.

Sure looks pretty out there!!!

Hearing from people that the highway is pretty bad from Richmond Hill to Pine Junction, multiple slide-offs. Please take it slow heading home tonight!
