We’re responding to a small wildland fire in Genesee Park just north of I-70 and the Chief Hosa exit. Genesee, Foothills, and Evergreen fire on scene. Additional fire districts enroute. Fire is 30 x 30 yards currently. Pre-evac order sent to 104 homes in the area.

The Moss Fire at Genesee Park/Chief Hosa is 100% contained. Foothills, Evergreen, Genesee, Clear Creek, Indian Hills, Inter Canyon, Golden, and Fairmont fire responded, as well as Denver Mountain Parks, Jeffco Open Space, and CSP.


Lifting pre-evac CodeRED and sending out an all clear to residents.

Update: Trails at Windy Saddle Park have reopened. Thanks to the first responders who worked hard to successfully contained the fire: Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Golden Fire-Rescue, Evergreen Fire Rescue, Fairmount Fire Protection District, Pleasant View Fire Department, Clear Creek Fire Authority, Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office, and Denver Mountain Parks Foundation
