 />On Saturday, September 30, 2017 the nation will celebrate the 24th annual
  <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a title="National Public Lands 
 Day" href="https://www.neefusa.org/public-lands-day" target="_blank" style=
 "color: #0000ff;">National Public Lands Day</a></span>, a volunteer effort 
 aimed at preserving and protecting our public lands. This special day provi
 des an opportunity to engage park visitors around a very important issue in
  their parks: dog waste and trash.</p><p>This effort fits into the “Let’s D
 oo It!” campaign that kicked off in 2016 and is led by Jeffco Open Space, t
 he City of Lakewood, Foothills Park &amp; Recreation District and Evergreen
  Park &amp; Recreation District. This campaign promotes picking up and disp
 osing of dog waste through collective action. The outreach related to “Let’
 s Doo It!” includes videos, social media messages, trailhead signs, dog was
 te bags, magnets on city vehicles and an online <span style="text-decoratio
 n: underline;"><a title="pledge " href="https://letsdooit.org/takethepledge
 /" target="_blank" style="color: #0000ff;">pledge </a></span>to pick up dog
  waste.</p><p>Recently, the partners launched a <span style="text-decoratio

 pan>, providing a place for other agencies to join the community effort, do
