SUMMARY:6th Annual South Park Trail Marathon & Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:\n\nNOTICE ABOUT COVID-19: The 2020 South Park Trail Marathon & Half ha
s been rescheduled to August 1, 2020.\n\n\nRegistration was reopened on Tue
sday, May 5th and will remain open through the new schedule as indicated be
low. See you there!\n “In the mountains is where I DREDGE MY SOUL”\n\nStart
ing at an elevation of 9,915’ and topping out at 13,183’ the South Park Mar
athon and Half are among the highest in Colorado. Marathoners run from the
South Park Historical District all the way to the top of The Peerless Mine.
Witness first hand the terrain that prospectors experienced during the gre
at Colorado Gold Rush. Oxygen is not required to enjoy the raging creeks, h
istoric mines, and the scramble above tree line after all.\n\n\nHalf marath
oners can enjoy HPRS’ fastest half, sprinkled with deceptive uphills and do
wnhills. We’ll have you questioning the elevation map in your pocket. This
race is a good introduction to what HPRS is all about, overcoming #Adversit
y, and growing from the experience.\n\n\nA marathon to test your mining sou
l. Hardworking men and women sunk themselves into the Earth day in and out
to make a living for their families. What purpose drives you to sink yourse
lf into this sport? We run over the rivers and through the woods, but there
is no grandmother’s house on this route, only the opportunity to face #Adv
ersity and triumph. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Human Potential Race withou
t a few bonus miles. Lucky for you they’re free!\n\n\nDistances: ~28 Miles
& ~15 Miles (snow level dependant)\nMarathon Elevation Gain/Loss: +4,42
0′ / -4,420′\nHalf Elevation Gain/Loss: +1,750′ / -1,750′\nStart Time: 8:00

Locations: Starts at South Park City Museum / Finishes at the Town of Fairp
lay Beach\nRunner Capacity: 300\n\n\nhttps://humanpotentialrunning.com/race
