 ian Dave Lively follows one family through the turmoil of The Civil War, We
 stward Expansion, and the Panic of 1893. These well-known historical events
  take on new meaning with this story of Grand Lake homesteaders Annie and K
 ittie Harbison, sisters who operate a dairy ranch to supply fresh milk to t
 he expanding Grand Lake population. Dave Lively is a dynamic speaker who sp
 ecializes in shining light on hidden narratives. He creates programs about 
 local history for groups large and small. His stories of remarkable charact
 ers from the past bring deeper understanding and appreciation for where we 
 are today. He is a well-known Grand Lake historian, and appears in “The Liv
 ing Dream: 100 Years of Rocky Mountain National Park” a documentary appeari
 ng on PBS stations nationwide. He Dave is a Certified Interpretive Guide an
 d a Certified Tour Guide, conducts historic seminars and tours for History 
 Colorado, Rocky Mountain National Park, Rocky Mountain Conservancy, and man
 y other organizations around Colorado. He is Past President of Grand Lake A
 rea Historical Society, Past Vice Chair and West Slope Representative of Co
 lorado Preservation, Inc., and Past Chairman of the Grand County Historic P
 reservation Board.
