 tion of events to honor our veterans and kick off the summer season. Come j
 oin us this year when we open Guanella Pass Scenic Byway, observe the annua

 28\nGuanella Pass Scenic Byway Opens for the Season\n\nHooray, one of Color
 ado’s greatest highways is open for the season!\n\n\nTraditionally, Clear C
 reek County closes the summits stretch of Guanella Pass Scenic Byway from t
 he Monday after Thanksgiving until Friday of Memorial Day Weekend.\n\n\nTo 
 kick off Georgetown Days, come and celebrate the reopening of Guanella Pass
  Scenic Byway by taking a drive to the Guanella Pass Summit. Be sure to tak
 e lots of pictures with the gorgeous (and rapidly unthawing) Mount Bierstad
 t!\n\n\n*Highway opening day and time subject to change\nMorning with the M
 ayor @ 8:00am-11:00am, Strousse Park\n\nCelebrate Guanella Pass Scenic Bywa
 y’s opening with the highways ribbon cutting performed by Georgetown’s Hono
 rary Mayor, Parker the Snow Dog! Attendees are encouraged to bring their fu
 rry friends along, (so long as they are leashed and friendly.)\n\n\nFor $8,

 tes these miners and their burros. Observe this unique, 8 mile race from th
