How tough are you? Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD ) invites runners to compete in the 2021 Evergreen Trail Racing Seri es, a four-race series of running events on mountainous terrain around scen ic Evergreen and our mountain community. Distances range from a 5k to an ep ic half-marathon to the top of Bergen Peak (elevation 9,708 feet), a climb of well over 2,000 vertical feet.
Registration & Race Days
Race registr ation is $40 in advance and $50 race day. You can purchase all four races f or $120. Races start at 8 AM (pre-registration opens at 7 AM.) Please note there are no race refunds or transfers.
Pick up your race bib on race day. Please bring a reusable water bottle to the races. There will be no w ater/aid stations on the course; this Series will be cup-free.
Please Note: In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen trail conditions the race director reserves the right to delay, cancel, move or reschedule the race. There will be no refunds in the event of a race cancellation.

Bergen Peak Half Ma rathon - June 5
This race is epic! Bergen Peak runners will endure the rolling hills of Elk Meadow and the strenuous switchbacks of Be rgen Peak and Too Long Trail. While ascending approximately 1,500 feet, run ners will peak at a total elevation of 9,000 feet as they cover this 13.1 m ile course. Participants should meet at the Buchanan Park Recreation Center near the Pioneer Trail head. Download the race map (PDF).
Elk Meadow Trail Race 5k & 10k - July 10
This 5 K/10K race leads runners throughout the rolling hills of Elk Meadow Open Sp ace Park. Runners will start on Pioneer trail and head clockwise around the meadow. The first stretch is a steady downhill along highway 74. From ther e, runners will weave their way up to where they will run through the trees along the foot of the mountain.
The course then shoots runners back out into the meadow to reconnect with Pioneer Trail to the finish line. Par ticipants should meet at the Buchanan Park Recreation Center near the Pione er Trail head. Download the race map (PDF).
Staunto n State Park 20K - August 7
Join us at Staunton State Park for a beautiful 20k trail race. Runners will start at 8,215 feet of elevati on and reach an elevation of 9,579 feet at the Eagle Cliff Overlook. Please bring a water bottle. This is a cup free race. Download a race map (PDF).
Evergreen Mountain 15k - September 11
The Evergreen Mountain Trail Race features over nine miles of pe aks and valleys. Participants pass the four rock formations called the Thre e Sisters and Little Brother as they weave their way throughout the course. The ascent up Evergreen Mountain features an elevation gain of over 1,000 feet, with runners ultimately reaching an elevation of 8,400 feet.
Af ter completing the summit loop, runners sprint down Evergreen Mountain to t he finish. Runners should meet at the start/finish line at the Alderfer Thr ee Sisters west parking lot. Download a race map (PDF).
