SUMMARY:12th Annual EChO Turkey Trot
LOCATION:Church of the Transfiguration at 27640 Hwy. 74, Evergreen, CO 80439
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:This year marks EChO's 12th Annual Turkey Trot! Enjoy Thanksgiving morning 
 with a family friendly three mile trot around Evergreen Lake. The route wil
 l begin and end in the parking lot of the Church of the Transfiguration. Fr
 om there, trotters will race west on Independence Drive, through downtown o
 n the sidewalk, under Hwy 73 and up the bridge on the north side of Lake Ev
 ergreen. Race around the lake and down the south staircase returning throug
 h downtown and back to the church parking lot. If it snows on Wednesday, be
  careful of ice on the south side of the lake just before the stairs. If yo
 u have “YakTrax”, bring them or shoes with good traction.\nThe day of the T
 urkey Trot: 8:00 AM Registration Opens 8:45 AM – Opening Ceremony 9:00 AM –
  Turkey Trot Starts 11:00 AM – Finish and Pie Awards\nCOSTUMES ENCOURAGED!!
  Pets welcome on leashes and in costume. \nAll proceeds benefit EChO's Food
  Bank, programs and services to help our mountain area neighbors in need.\n
 \n\nPlease dress appropriately. It will be chilly in the morning, especiall
 y in the shady Church parking lot.\n\n\nThere are no bibs or timing chips. 
 \n\n\nThere are no Aid Stations, but there will be a hot cocoa and water st
 ation.\n\n\nStrollers are discouraged because of the stairs leading to the 
 dam on your route. \n\n\n\nRace Starts promptly at 9am!\n\n\nFree Parking –
  Parking lot in front of EChO Food Pantry and ReSale, Campfire, Mountain Ho
 me building, Rising Graphics, Magpie and Stems, Lariat Lodge/Center Stage (
 walk down the stairs and through the tunnel)\n\n\nThe Church Parking lot wi
 ll be closed for the race. There will be 4 port-a-potties in the church par
 king lot.\n\n\nHoliday pies will be given to the winners of age brackets fo
 r male and female for:\n1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60 and 60 plus
 A pie will be given to the Best Costume!A pie will be given to the owner of
  the first dog to finish with their owner.\n\nWe also encourage participant
 s to bring canned goods for the EChO Food Bank.\n\n\nThanks so much from th
