In this archery clinic, you will le arn how to improve your shooting skills, you will learn the basics and hist ory of archery. This class is for the beginner and experienced shooter. If you don't own a bow, COFA will provide bows.

Beginning adults will learn archery skills and techniques on: Proper stance. Line up, so you r feet are in a line towards the middle of the target. Put the arrow in the bow. Put the arrow on the arrow rest, which is part of the bow. Grip the s tring. Typically, three fingers are used to hold the string. Draw the bow, aim, and release.

We at COFA get asked, what's a good age for my kids to start archery? Consider these factors before introducing your ch ild to archery. If you want to get your child in a program, COFA recommends starting at the age of 8. Why? by the time kids are 8 years old they usual ly have enough strength to safely handle a beginner's bow.

Thi s will be a hands-on class, beginner adults will learn how to use a bow, ho w to have fun, and apply their newly learned skills to hit an archery targe t. We get a lot of adults who would like to try shooting a bow to see what it's like, come on out and give it a try.

COFA is an All-Volun teer organization and is a designated 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your tax-deductible suggested donation of $10 goes toward training materials/eq uipment and is greatly appreciated!
