 Founded in 1990, Mountain Resource Center strives to promote self-sufficien
 cy and improve the quality of life for individuals and families living in t
 he foothills west of Denver. Located in Conifer, Colorado, MRC serves the a
 reas of western Jefferson County and eastern Park County. They are the only
  community-based organization along the U.S. Highway 285 corridor that prov
 ides multi-generational services for individuals and families that need sup
 port. By offering consistent care over time, Mountain Resource Center can a
 ssist with both short and long-term needs. They offer emergency services li
 ke housing and utility assistance, support through early childhood, family 
 education, mental health services, veteran support, and access to healthy f
 ood and community health programming. All MRC's services are free of charge
