How tough are you? Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD) invites runners to compete in the 2024 Evergre en Trail Racing Series, a four-race series of running events on mountainous terrain around scenic Evergreen and our mountain community. Distances rang e from a 5k to an epic half-marathon to the top of Bergen Peak (elevation 9 ,708 feet), a climb of well over 2,000 vertical feet.

Please note there are no race r efunds, transfers, or credits.
Pick up your race bib on ra ce day. Please bring a reusable water bottle to the races. There will be no water/aid stations on the course; this Series will be cup-free.
Pl ease Note: In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen trail conditions the race director reserves the right to delay, cancel, move, or reschedule the race. There will be no refunds in the event of a race cancellation.

2024 Evergreen Trail Race Series Race Days and Locations

< h3 id="isPasted" class="subhead2">Elk Meadow Trail Race 5k & 10k - June 22

This 5K/10K race leads runners throughout the rolling hills of E lk Meadow Open Space Park. Runners will start on Pioneer trail and head clo ckwise around the meadow. The first stretch is a steady downhill along high way 74. From there, runners will weave their way up to where they will run through the trees along the foot of the mountain.

The course then sho ots runners back out into the meadow to reconnect with Pioneer Trail to the finish line. Participants should meet at the Buchanan Park Recreation Cent er near the Pioneer Trail head. Download the race map (PDF) .

Evergreen Mount ain 15k - July 13

The Evergreen Mountain Trail Race features over ni ne miles of peaks and valleys. Participants pass the four rock formations c alled the Three Sisters and Little Brother as they weave their way througho ut the course. The ascent up Evergreen Mountain features an elevation gain of over 1,000 feet, with runners ultimately reaching an elevation of 8,400 feet. After completing the summit loop, runners sprint down Evergreen Mount ain to the finish. Download the race map (PDF).

Staunton State Park 20k - August 3

Join u s at Staunton State Park for a beautiful 20k trail race. Runners will start at 8,215 feet of elevation and reach an elevation of 9,579 feet at the Eag le Cliff Overlook. Please bring a water bottle. Download the race map (P DF).

Bergen Peak Half Marathon - September 14

This race is epic! Bergen Peak runners will endure the rolling hills of Elk Meadow and the strenuous switchbacks o f Bergen Peak and Too Long Trail. While ascending approximately 1,500 feet, runners will peak at a total elevation of 9,000 feet as they cover this 13 .1 mile course.
