 for a very special Saturday Bird Walk on May 25, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM w
 hen we visit the seasonal bird banding station operated by Bird Conservancy
  of the Rockies at Denver Audubon’s Nature Center at Chatfield. This is a f
 antastic opportunity to see birds up close as Bird Conservancy Staff captur
 e, band, band and release migrating and local songbirds as part of their lo
 ng-term monitoring to understand bird populations and trends.\n\n\nOur star
 t time is based on our scheduled time for visiting the banding station.  We
  will begin the morning at the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies bird-banding
  station where we will have the opportunity to see several species in-the-h
 and and learn about their migratory behavior.  Following our time at the Ba
 nding Station, we will spend time birding along the South Platte adjacent t
 o the Nature Center that is part of Chatfield State Park. Bring water, a sn
 ack, and plan to meet at the Denver Audubon Nature Center no later than 8:2

 nHistorically, it has not been necessary to have a Colorado State Parks pas
 s for parking at the Nature Center, however there will be a charge of $7 pe
 r person for visiting the banding station.  Please bring cash with you.\n\n
 \n Please note: Registration is opening early for this event. Denver Audubo
 n schedules these banding station visits; they are very popular and fill ra
 pidly. We have committed to a fixed number of spaces for our members and we
  want to fill those spaces so as many members as possiblecan enjoy this inc
 redible experience.\n\n\nThese walks are for Evergreen Audubon members and 
 their guests. Non-members won’t be turned away but will be encouraged to jo
 in Evergreen Audubon.  You must register here to attend this event.  If you
  are registering for more than one person, please enter each person separat
