 louds – a multisport race showcasing the breathtaking beauty and historical
  heritage of North America's Highest Incorporated Town.\n\n\nRace in the Cl
 ouds 2024 will take place the weekend before Festival in the Clouds, an ann
 ual celebration of live music, artwork, good food, and community. The Festi
 val is free to attend and takes place on the grounds of the Alma Town Park.
  All proceeds from both the Race and the Festival benefit the Alma Foundati

 a has to offer – 14ers, world-class fishing, mountain biking, camping, and

 e price increases June 1, 2024. \n\n\nRACES\n\n\nThe Motherlode – You will 
 feel like you struck it rich after conquering this challenging 30km, two-lo
 op course. Not for the faint of heart, this race has over 3,556 feet of ele
 vation gain.\n\n\nThe Placer – A shorter version of the Motherlode, this 15
 km, single-loop mountain bike course will give you way more than a bite-siz
 ed taste of this rugged and challenging race.\n\n\nThe Buckskin Joe – Named
  after Joe Higgenbottom who famously sold his mining claim in 1850 for a ho
 rse, a gun, and to absolve his whisky bill, the Trail Half Marathon uses th
 e same course as the mountain bike. Runners will climb along Buckskin Creek
 , be treated to breathtaking views, and challenged by technical descents.\n
 \n\nThe Hoosier Du – The off-road Duathlon is a 5km Run and 15km Mountain B
 ike. This race combines the best of both courses. \n\n\nThe Alma Jaynes – I
 t's all fun with this 5km Community Run and Doggie Dash. Yes, your well-beh
