SUMMARY:4th Annual Formal on a Fourteener
LOCATION:Gray's And Torrey's Peak, Colorado
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Join us for the 4th Annual Formal on a Fourteener, where we get together on
 ce a year with friends old and new for a fun formal meetup. We will hike to
  the summit and change into formal clothes for a photo shoot. Please come w
 ith a positive and encouraging attitude, and be kind and respectful to the 
 environment and others on the trail. This year we will be hiking Grays and 
 Torreys Peak(s)! These are some of the easier peaks (as 14ers go).The summe
 r trailhead is roughly a 1 hour drive from Denver, but it fills up quickly 
 so you may need to park 3 miles lower at the winter trailhead if you arrive
  late. This is a very popular hike so expect the trail to be very busy. I w
 ill be car camping at the TH the night before. We will meet at the trailhea
 d at 5:15AM, leaving at 5:30AM SHARP. If you're late you'll need to catch u
 p or meet us at the top. ~NOTE start time is from the TH, NOT the parking l
 ot(s). If you are forced to park at the lower trailhead then you will eithe
 r need to catch up or factor in the extra mileage ahead of time. You can ha
 ve the option of climbing Grays either before or after the photo shoot depe
 nding on time and weather, but the shoot will be on Torreys. One changing t
 ent will be available at the summit of Torreys. Start changing as soon as y
 ou summit so we don't bottleneck the line to change. Dogs welcome (I'm brin
 ging Kyboy and Trekker). NOTE THIS IS NOT A GUIDED OR ASSISTED EXCURSION. T
 his is a public meetup. While I am happy to help or advise as I am able, pl
 ease use your own good judgment and participate at your own risk, especiall
 y if you are new to 14ers. If you're planning on the combo route it will be
  8.25 miles RT, Torreys ONLY is 7.75 miles RT from TH (add appropriate mile

 IPSOn the 2-3 days leading up to the ascent hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!!! I 
 cannot stress this enough. Hydration helps with acclimation to the altitude
 , plus you will lose more water than normal beyond the strenuousness of the
  hike, simply by the extra breathing required to maintain oxygen at altitud
 e. Be sure to bring:advil (thins your blood which helps with altitude sickn
 ess)waterlight jacket/windbreaker (in case of rain/hail/wind, it can get ch
