 lley surrounded by an important piece of history. Bring your camera and cap
 ture the stunning vista. This is the perfect location for <strong>History I
 nspiring Art! </strong>Mark your calendars and join us at <strong>Pass Note
 s 2024</strong>!</p><p>Pack a lunch and water. Bring a jacket in case the w
 eather gets cool. We will have access to the recently restored North London
  Office for shelter, restroom and wifi. Bring whatever supplies you need to
  get creative. Or, just bring a chair, relax and enjoy some music and a kil
 ler view.</p><p><strong>History Inspiring Art</strong><br /><strong>Park Co
 unty Creative Alliance</strong> has been showcasing a variety of events and
  murals the past few years that highlight how history can inspire art. This
  year's Pass Notes is another example.<br /><br />The <strong>North London 
 Mill</strong> site lies at the base of the historic high mountain pass conn
 ecting Park and Lake Counties, CR12, <strong>Mosquito Pass</strong>. From 1
 892 to 1942, the North London Mill processed one of Colorado’s richest gold
  strikes. <strong>The North London Mill Preservation, Inc.</strong> is reha
 bilitating the site for a unique backcountry experience that combines histo
 ric preservation, outdoor recreation and education, and the arts and scienc
 es.<br /><br />As stated on the NoLo website: <em>"We think of NoLo as a </
 em><em>Gesamtkunstwerk</em><em> ([ɡəˈzamtˌkʊnstvɛʁk] German: "total work of
  art"). The timberframe Mill with its masonry foundation is an exemplary wo
 rk of industrial, functionalist architecture. The spectacular North Mosquit
 o Creek Basin and the beholder's experience is framed by the site and its c
 ontinuity through time. The site speaks of the origins of the State of Colo
 rado. To visit NoLo is to have a profoundly aesthetic experience - an exalt
 ed state of consciousness. It is an experience informed by the awareness of
  time and place; of the natural world and human intervention."</em><br /><b
