tive industries of the Colorado Foothills community. Nonprofit organization
s serve a vital role in our community by providing services that improve th
e lives of thousands of foothills residents.
Whether the y are providing food and shelter, wellness and health services, advocacy, c ultural and artistic enrichment, educational services, or environmental sus tainability, the nonprofits that form the Mountain Area Nonprofit Coalition are creating initiatives that sustain, enrich, and preserve life. Each one represents crucial and irreplaceable components of our mountain community.

Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity - "Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, commun ities and hope."

Evergreen Animal Protective League - "The Evergreen Animal Protective League (EAPL) was organized in April, 1981 to aid lost, abandoned, and suffering animals through rescue, shelter, and education."
Evergreen Audubon - "The Mission of the Evergreen Audubon is to conserve wildlife and natural e cosystems, provide community science experiences, and inspire and educate o ur community to benefit all people and biodiversity"

We are hard at work creating, building and promoting zero waste programs, e nergy conservation, educational programs, and community gardening opportuni ties for our residents."
Mountain Area Land Trust - "Our mission is to save natural areas, wildlife habitat, streams and rivers, working ranches and historic lands, for the benefit of the communit y and as legacy for future generations."
Mt. Evans Hom e Health and Hospice Care - "We support our mountain community by providing compassionate and experienced care during challenging times."
Mountain Youth Musicals - "To produce youth musi cals with an emphasis on process, teamwork, leadership and joy, while insti lling a strong work ethic with high performance and rehearsal expectations. "
Ovation West Performing Arts - "Transform and Inspire Community through excellence in music, theatre, education, and through historic Center Stage."
Resilience 1220 - "Resilience1220 provides free counseling services to youth ages 12-20 i n the mountain communities west of Denver. Through individual counseling, s upport groups and community outreach, we work to raise awareness of the soc ial, emotional, and mental-health issues young adults face, and to provide the necessary life skills to create wellness and resiliency in their lives. "
