 iving back to your public lands. Jefferson County Open Space is hosting a v
 olunteer project at Van Bibber Park as a way to protect wildlife and contin
 ue to provide healthy and safe nature based experiences to our visitors. Vo
 lunteers will be focusing on 3 main objectives:\n• Helping to control noxio
 us weeds, which helps keep natural habitats resilient amidst a changing cli
 mate. \n• Planting native plant species to increase habitat resiliency to c
 hanging climate conditions across all lands. \n• Seeding native grasses to 
 reclaim native plant bio-diversity.\nVolunteers will meet and park at the V
 an Bibber East Trailhead https://maps.app.goo.gl/aMac3rwBszjPGYMz9 Overflow
  parking will be at the Arvada Covenant Church next door. In the spirit of 
 Earth Day please carpool or take alternative transportation to the project.
 \nREQUIREMENTS: Be able to hike and use a variety of tools, including shove
 ls, picks, and rakes. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent o
 r guardian. Be prepared for numerous and changing environmental conditions.
 \nWHAT TO BRING & WEAR: Project waiver: All volunteers need to sign a w
 aiver. If you register online, then you will sign it electronically. Paper 
 copies will also be available at the work site. Closed-toe, sturdy shoes ar
 e required (no sandals). Work gloves (if you have them). Plenty of water (2
  quarts minimum). Rain gear and appropriate layers for the forecasted weath
 er. Snacks. Necessary medications like Epi-Pens, inhalers, etc. Sunscreen a
 nd insect repellent. A day pack.\nNO PETS ALLOWED.\nIf you need to cancel: 
 Jefferson County Open Space is counting on your help for this project. If y
 ou are unable to volunteer, please cancel your registration to allow other 
 volunteers to fill your spot. Weather: We will be completing this project, 
 even if it snows or rains. Please be prepared to work in any weather. If yo
 u see the forecast ahead of time, and decide you do not want to work in inc
 lement weather, please cancel your registration to allow other volunteers t
