 get your passport application processed—no appointment necessary. Please ch

  Now\nAbout Passport-palooza\n\nPassport-palooza is a one day only, no appo
 intment necessary, passport processing event open to all. It's a twice-a-ye
 ar event held in January and May and is for:\n\n - First-time adult passpor
 ts\n - Adult passport renewals where the original passport is expired by mo
 re than five years\n - Lost or stolen adult passport renewals\n - New and r
 enewing children's passports\n\nIf you are an adult whose passport is expir
 ed by less than five years, you must renew online. Use the US Department of
  State's Renew by Mail option for recent renewals.\nWhat to Bring\n\nYou wi
 ll need to bring many things with you in order for us to be able to process
  your application. Please double check this list to ensure you've got it al
 l! We will have to send away any applicants that cannot provide all of the 
 required materials.\n\n - Everyone applying for a passport. Children must b
 e present to get their passport. Both parents must also be present if the c
 hild is under 16 (or you must bring a Statement of Consent (DS-3053) or Sta
 tement of Special Family Circumstances (DS-5525))\n - An unsigned, but comp
 letely filled out, accurate passport application (DS-11) for each applicant
 . If you are filling out the application by hand and make a mistake, you MU
 ST start over. No cross outs, scribbles, or other marks can be on the appli
 cation. If you are reporting your passport as lost or stolen, you must also
  complete an additional form (DS-64).\n - Original forms of ID and citizens
 hip. There are many documents that qualify as ID, but typically these are a
  driver's license or your 5yr+ expired passport. There are also many docume
 nts that qualify as citizenship evidence, but typically this is a birth cer
 tificate. Birth certificates must be original and government issued--if it 
 has baby footprints on it or was issued by the hospital, that is not a birt
 h certificate.\n - Certified name change documentation. If your name has ch
 anged at any point, whether by marriage, divorce, or court order, you must 
 bring a certified copy and regular copy of the documentation.\n - One black
  and white photocopy, front and back, of each form of ID and citizenship. P
 hotocopies must be black and white, not color.\n - A photo of each applican
 t. These photos have strict requirements set out by the State Department. I
 t must be a 2" square, color photo, with a white background, without eyegla
 sses or hats, and a neutral expression (you can smile, but no teeth).\n - \
 n\nTwo checks or money orders per application. Each application will be mai
 led out with a check to the department of state, so you may not combine the
  cost of multiple applications into a single check. If multiple family memb
 ers are applying, the processing fees to Jefferson County may be combined i
 nto one check, but you will still require one additional check per applicat
