ALMAGEDDON Winter Triathlon – J anuary 17, 2026
Take on the ultimate winter endurance challenge at 10 ,653 feet in Alma, Colorado, the highest incorporated town in North America . The ALMAGEDDON Winter Triathlon combines fat biking, Nordic skiing, and s nowshoeing across rugged mountain terrain with breathtaking views of the Mo squito Range.
This unique event is part of the Race in the Clouds ser ies, benefiting the Alma Foundation. Whether you’re chasing a podium finish or the thrill of conquering the Yeti, ALMAGeddon promises an unforgettable adventure in the heart of the Rockies.

Distances: This is an up and back course where athlete s will climb from 10,563 up to the turnaround at the Bristlecone Forest Tra ilhead at 11,700.
Athletes must ch eck-in by 9:15 am race morning. Athletes ski's and packs will be transporte d to T1. Athletes are required to carry their snowshoes on their packs and will switch to the snowshoe at T2.
Cool swag - yep!! All athlete's re ceive a one of kind ALMAGeddon beanie, super cool finisher award, post race food and beverages at Town Hall and age groups awards.
We have a cou rse limit of 60 athletes for the inaugural year so please register early. < /p>
Given the limited field size of no more than 60 athletes we are only offering the following age groups:
Athletes will be required to attend a on-line course briefin g to be scheduled in early December.

NOTE: In the event there is not enough snow complete the ski or snowshoe portions of the event, the event will switch to a Duathlon (6 mile bike, 1.2 mile run, 6 m ile bike). Athletes will be notified of any course changes 48 hours before the event. We are sorry but there will be no refunds for a course change.
