 > course is designed to teach people the basic skills of CPR and how to ope
 rate an AED.  Students will receive instruction in the following areas:</p>

 CPR for adults, children, and infants</li><li>    AED (Automated External D
 efibrillation), proven life saving technology</li><li>    Foreign body airw
 ay obstruction</li><li>    Recognition of signs and symptoms of: heart atta
 ck, stroke, choking and sudden cardiac arrest</li></ul><p><strong>Heartsave
 r CPR/AED Certification $25:</strong></p><p>For anyone who wants to learn C
 PR and AED, is <strong><em>not a healthcare provider</em></strong>, and liv
 es or works in the Evergreen Fire Protection District. This includes mandat
 ory text book, test, &amp; certification card (e-card) for $25. Certificati
 on is good for 2 years. (Certification is $41.00 if you don’t live or work 
 in the district.) Minimum age for certification is 12 years.</p><p><strong>
 2021 CPR/AED Schedule: </strong></p><p>Classes will be held on the 3rd Wedn
 esday from 5 – 9 pm and the 3rd Saturday from 9am to 1 pm from April throug

 </p><p>Class size will be limited to a maximum of 8 students at this time t
 o enable the required distancing of students in the classroom. A mask is re
 quired and may be removed during the hands on training for rescue breathing
 .</p><p>All scheduled classes will be held at the EFR administration/ train
 ing facility, Room A located at:  <strong>1802 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen, C
 O. 80439</strong></p><p>Parents must sign a waiver for their K-12 children

 der: </strong></h4><p>Healthcare provider classes are not scheduled regular
 ly, but can be arranged to meet your personal needs at our place or yours. 
 This course is intended for people who provide health care in a professiona
 l setting such as doctors, nurses, in hospital technicians, and first respo
 nders (fire fighters, EMS personnel, etc). Students of this course will rec
 eive instruction in the following areas:</p><ul><li>    Scene assessment/sa

 roke, cardiac arrest and choking</li><li>    CPR for adults, children, and
