 h2><h2>What is Slash?</h2><p>Slash is debris from nature, such as tree limb
 s, prunings, and pine cones. If not removed, slash can add to potential fir
 e hazards on your property. The importance of mitigating and preparing your
  property for wildfire cannot be overstated - and again this year, Jefferso
 n County is your partner in this effort.</p><p>View the map or <a class="do

  here</a> for the exact schedule and times. Please arrive <strong>no later 
 than 30 minutes prior to closing,</strong> as the unloading process takes a
 bout<strong> 30 minutes</strong>.</p><p>All material brought to the slash s
 ites must be unloaded by hand. We are currently exploring more efficient un
 loading options for the Tincup Slash yard.</p><h3 class="subhead2">The SLAS
 H program accepts material from both residents and non-residents.</h3><p>An
 y size truck or trailer is welcome at Jefferson County Slash Collection sit
 es. Dump fees are based on six cubic yards (162 cubic feet) of material: si
 x yards is one load. The cost to drop off a single load is $24. Credit card
 s only. This is equivalent to:</p><ul><li>Truck bed full to truck cab heigh
 t </li><li>Trailer up to eight feet long by five feet wide by four feet hig
 h </li><li>Loads outside these parameters will be charged accordingly</li><
 /ul><h3>Accepted:</h3><ul><li>Limbs</li><li>Branches</li><li>Woody debris</
 li><li>Tree bark</li><li>Pine cones</li><li>Pine needles</li><li>Logs - Max

 fested logs will be accepted <strong>only at the Tincup Ridge SLASH Yard</s
 trong>. Please bring infested materials outside of flight season <strong>(b
 efore June 15 and after September 30)</strong>.</p><h3 class="subhead2">Pro
 hibited Materials</h3><p>Certain materials are not accepted at any SLASH si
 te due to the risk of damaging heavy equipment, including:</p><ul><li>Const
 ruction materials and lumber (may contain hidden metal)</li><li>Tree stumps
  (often embedded with rocks)</li><li>Detached leaves (can carry rocks or me
 tal debris)</li></ul><p>Please do not use heavy machinery to load material 
 into vehicles or trailers, as this can introduce excess dirt and rocks into
  the load. Staff reserves the right to reject any load that does not meet p
