As an example of the CONTINUING lies coming from the king.....No wonder Pelosi's political stance is OPEN THE GOVERNMENT AND THEN WE WILL TALK.....how can you negotiate with a pathological person who can not tell the truth? (does he TRULY think the American people are that enthralled with him?)

So would you advocate for taking down the wall and making it easier for the criminals of Mexico to cross the border? The 5 billion dollar plan is a security and immigration measure that will step up immigration enforcement and build about 231 miles of wall. Just a small piece of the US-Mexican border. As to your other charge, lying to get legislation passed. Don't all politicians fudge on the truth when trying to get bills passed. If you listen to Senator Bernie Sanders, you would think that the US is in a great depression right now as he advocates for his $15 an hour national minimum wage. This increase, essentially doubling the wage from $7.75 to $15, would hurt our rural communities. And in Denver at least, I am seeing market forces driving up fast food wages to $11 and $12.

Of course politicians lie in order to get legislation passed. More naïve? You can still want a wall because 95 billion dollars are spent on benefits for illegal aliens. Would you prefer this money to be spent on our homeless? 95 billion provides a lot of housing. And these illegal aliens commit crimes, 4,000 estimated homicides. In the past, President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Senator Schumer have voted to put up border walls. Why have they changed their minds? 231 miles will not cover the entire border, but it will make it easier to prevent crossings.

Framing this futile fight over the WALL......let's revisit the fubar.....desperate people will do desperate acts.....the WALL will NOT prevent tunnels being dug....they found another one
last week.....so please explain to me just how erecting a structure costing obscene amounts of money will eliminate tunnels....AGAIN $$$$$ needs to be allocated in a strategic set of solutions that will maximize security measures......this fight is about common sense vs. a
catastrophic concern for the king's base.jmo

It isn't as black and white as you think. A wall will discourage people and make it harder to cross. Tunnels take time to build and concentrate illegals. Making it easier for the Border Guard to round up these invaders. A front door lock is a good thing, a deadbolt protects you more, a reinforced steel door protects you even more. 230+ more miles of wall will discourage more criminals. Just like the reinforced door will discourage more criminals. I know illegal immigration is down, why not bring it down even more? Right now we don't have enough inexpensive housing in the Front Range and you want to make the problem worse by encouraging more illegal immigrants coming to Colorado, using up our education funds teaching their kids, making our healthcare more expensive by having them fill up our emergency rooms. Congress just sent 10 billion dollars to the countries of Central America, surely 5.7 billion is not too much to spend on discouraging people from making the dangerous trip across the Mexican desert.

It's even more back-and-white than you think. Most illegal immigrants enter through ports of entry or airports, and all illegal immigrants are unlikely to break the law.
Your argument is based on lies. :(

NOW that the king, in all of his wisdom, has declared a national emergency....and a GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL WALL WILL BE BUILT that will block ALL crime....let's take another ride to
REALLY see what/where we are spending the BILLIONS of $$$$$.....there is a lot of land
to lasso and I am REAL sure some of it is SOLD already and owned by ranchers.....might want to think about how that is going to square with the settlers.:hairfire:
