We are happy to share that Colorado Parks and Wildlife proudly announces that the State Historical Fund has awarded Staunton State Park a Preservation Planning Grant for over $100,000! This money will be invested into planning for the future preservation and rehabilitation of seven historical structures at Staunton State Park. The State Historical Fund will be visiting the park on August 19th in order to look at the sites for renovation.

This is the first step toward getting several of our historical structures renovated so that they don't fall into further disrepair and we may better experience our local history first-hand. Many thanks to everyone who worked hard to secure this funding and who are putting effort into the projects. We'll keep you posted as to progress!
