Blowing snow is reducing visibility west of the Tunnel.

From a friend: Hwy 74 to Evergreen from Morrison was slippery but fine at slower speeds. It's a good route to take since I-70 is still closed both directions between Evergreen and Morrison .

CSP is trying to shut down I-70 WB at MM 259 (C470) but don't have enough personnel to do so. CDOT wants to close US40 westbound as well.

Per Robert Jones: heavy snow falling. Both direction on I-70 are slushy, snowpacked roads.

Just came down 70 from Blackhawk. It is quite messy west of 470. Give yourself time.

Morning road report: Brook Forest and 73 - snow tires or stay home til later. 74, pick one lane, not bad to i70. i70 to Genesse little slushy, and down the hill just wet. But leave early due to all the other cars with no snow tires or no experience driving in weather.... (why does everyone think they need to be in the center lane on i70? the right lane is the cleanest with the truck traffic.)
