Aspen Peak Cellars' August News & Events

30 Jul 2021 13:52 #1 by Cellar Master
Dear Winery Friends,

We are taking full advantage of our short summer season and will not waste any time kicking off August with a bang. This Sunday, August 1st, we celebrate our special connection between Swiss Independence Day, 1291, and Colorado's Statehood, 1876.

We are excited to welcome The Austrian Connection Band to entertain us from 2-5pm with traditional alpine oompah tunes, while we are serving specials from both regions. Make sure to call to reserve a table.

The following Wednesday another fun play on a calendar day and local connection occurs, as 8.04.21 is the Bailey zip code day, only happens once every hundred years. The Platte Canyon Area Chamber of Commerce is promoting this day with a fundraiser to beautify Bailey. For more information on this project and the latest festivities, click here. We are offering a fun lunch/happy hour special for 2 people which includes 8 Mt. Bailey Hot Thighs, 4 Boccalinos (mugs of tap wine) for $21 anytime during our business hours from 11am-4pm. Please note we will be closing early in order to celebrate the second part of the locals day at Mad Jack's Mountain Brewery with live music by many musicians paying tribute to Roger Falter, our dear friend we lost at the end of last year.

Special thanks to our crew and everyone who visited our booth at the Castle Rock Winefest a couple of weeks ago. It was a great to see so many folks back out and about. This month we will sample our amazing wine selections every weekend in a park near you, make sure to get your tickets to the fun wine festivals soon. We are looking forward seeing you in Woodland Park, Estes Park, Windsor and Manitou Springs.

Friday, 8/20, 6:30-9PM, we will welcome the Rocky Mountain Jazz Rebellion to perform another edition of LoBay Jazz & Tapas Night, this time on our outdoor stage. Make sure to reserve your tickets soon.

Have a wonderful month, stay healthy and we are looking forward to seeing you all at the winery soon.

Happy Birthday Switzerland and Colorado!

We are sorry to inform you that The Austrian Connection Band will have to cancel today's show due to illness of one of their members. Swiss/Colorado day celebration will still be lots of fun with videos and traditional Swiss folk music played over the house speakers. Plenty of great food, wine and company! Prost!
