The 2.0 does not recognize older k cups. We are keurig virgins.

Do you have any new k-cups that will work in your 2.0?

Try taking one of the new lids and put it on over the lid on an old k-cup.

I did try that. Did not work for me. Going to return it and get a 1.0 or maybe a different brand altogether.

After our dentists appointments yesterday we are enamored with being able to make a fast easy cup of anything but my current opinion of Keurig is lower than whale ****.

For other late adopters we got this unit because it came with a brew a pot option and we drink a lot of coffee. The single k cups are expensive. We did not know you can get more than one cup out of it.

I love my Kuerig I have had it for going on 5 years now.

Good thing to know is now is the time of year to buy your k-cups as they are always on sale at Kohls and Bed,Bath and Beyond so I buy up a ton of them using all the discount coupons both stores have out for Xmas.

For the rest of the year I just watch for sales or buy them at Costco.

I also you one of the reusable cups for regular coffee but I caution those that use it you need to grind your coffee a little course or you will get sediment.

Thanks. I did although it came in a four pack. Don't know why because I can only do one at a time. I just used one with a tea bag, worked well.

Oh yea, returned the 2.0 and got an older model.

I think the patent ran out on the overpriced K-cups. Now they are widely available and cheaper.

Did they really change the design of those? I have an older model.

Yes. From what I have read workarounds and lawsuits are in progress. I did not want to wait.

" DRM (Digital Rights Management) technology. It's fancy science, but ultimately it means unlicensed cups won't work with the new machines."

The real kicker is the 2.0 WILL NOT recognize it's own older k cups.

The older cups give an error message and a phone # to the oops hot line. I am not kidding.
