Severe thunderstorm warning for central Park County

National Weather Service advised that additional severe weather is headed into the area. Currently storms with rotation over the Antero Junction area, quarter-sized hail.

There is also flooding on Hwy 9 south of Fairplay.

The National Weather Service in Denver Colorado has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...Central Park County in central Colorado...

* Until 345 PM MDT.

* At 321 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Antero Reservoir, or 59 miles west of Colorado Springs, moving southeast at 20 mph. This storm could also produce an isolated tornado.

HAZARD...Quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.

* Locations impacted include...Hartsel and Antero Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This thunderstorm is capable of producing isolated tornadoes. Move quickly to a safe shelter such as an interior room, a bathroom, closet or basement.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
