Death investigation underway at Elk Meadow Park after body found

According to Jeffco Sheriff’s spokesman Mark Techmeyer, a park visitor reported the body to law enforcement at 2:30 p.m., and emergency personnel were called to the scene. While Techmeyer said he couldn’t disclose any information about the individual who was found or the investigation, he said the death isn't suspicious in nature and there is no threat to the community.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the car that was buried deep in the ditch this morning, along the parkway directly in front of Bergen Bark Inn, on the parkway side? Looks like they got it pulled out of the ditch but was sitting on the shoulder this evening.

Man found in Elk Meadow Park died by suicide

Law enforcement officials conducting a death investigation at Elk Meadow Park in Evergreen have identified the victim as an adult male who died by suicide. According to Jeffco Sheriff's spokeswoman Jenny Fulton, the department is refraining from publicly identifying the man "out of respect for the family's privacy."
