Rep. Buck should be learning that social media may not be his friend. In his very short term, he has tweeted about seeing the President with 20 "hispanic" kids (turned out they were Native American) caused him to lose his appettite, as well as just last week tweeting about an ISIS base located only 20 miles from El Paso (based on an unsubstantiated story in a right wing blog).

Oh brother....Nothing is illegal about this "AR-15". If you knew anything about guns (and obviously the DC police don't) the bolt carrier assembly is not in the rifle. It is basically a decoration-not a firearm.
Much ado about nothing, except giving anti gunners something to scream about.
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

More Naïve? You don't think the DOJ and Team Obama have any pull with the DC police?
Dog is so upset that a politician has a rifle in their office! Oh noes! But totally forgets that the disgraced Secret Service has many, many, more rifles. Or the EPA, or dozens of different bureaus. So weapons like the AR-15 are very plentiful in DC, unless you are a citizen or visiting politician.

The law is the law. A 30-round magazine is illegal under DC law. If a third-rate TV personality is above the law I see no reason why a congressman shouldn't be.

Fred has his panties in a twist because lawfully authorized LEO may carry rifles while hack politicians are prohibited from exhibiting AR - 15 in their offices.

I agree that the laws should be enforced against all, not that celebrity status either on tv or as a politician gives you an exemption from the law.
