Colorado congressman Buck under investigation by DC police

Much ado about nothing, except giving anti gunners something to scream about.

Under the DC law, the lower receiver assembly is what is prohibited. Further, the 30 round magazine violates the law that allows only up to 10 rounds.

So it appears that being a congressman or celebrity does exempt you from obeying laws. DC police deferred their investigation over to the US Capital Police.

Seems to me that pretty much all politicians and most media/entertainment folks are above the law. It's only us "little people" who must obey.

Guess Buck should replace the illegal lower with an 80% receiver paper weight.

Of course they did, the US Capitol Police has exclusive jurisdiction on the Capitol grounds, where Congressman Buck's office is located. Metro DC Police Department has no jurisdiction and thus no authority to investigate anything on the Capitol grounds. And Buck first sought, and received, permission to display the piece of artwork from the police department that had jurisdiction, the US Capitol Police. Now, how it can be a violation of any law when the law enforcement agency itself is consulted beforehand is something that Dog will have to explain to us.

Seems that someone prejudiced against Republicans and/or guns was doing some jurisdiction shopping by attempting to refer the matter to the Metro DC Police when that agency has no jurisdiction over the matter at all.

But, in true "progressive" fashion, the facts don't matter, only how one "feels" about something.

Yahoo News is reporting Congressman Buck jumped through all the proper legal hoops and Capitol Police have signed off on his gun. Plus Buck has made the rifle doubly safe by removing the bolt, firing pin and also putting a trigger lock on it.
