When you think about animals protecting themselves from predators, most people think of camouflage or speed. Skunks and Porcupines though have found a different way. Join us for the afternoon and learn how these animals live without ever having to run away or hide.
Junior Naturalists will discover and understand that certain animals are capable of defending themselves. They will explore the diet, habitat, and overall "lifestyle" of these unique wildlife.
Ages 6 - 10 yrs with an adult.
Get ready to search for signs of skunk and porcupine activity in the park. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear good hiking shoes or boots. We also recommend you bring water, sunscreen, and snacks as needed.
There will be an easy 1 mile (or less) hike during this program at Mount Falcon Park. You will meet the naturalist by the picnic shelter/trailhead in the west parking lot.
