North Fork is a 50 Mile and 50K trail race that benefits the North Fork Volunteer Fire Department, which protects the area where the race is run, and the Evergreen Chorale that brings beautiful music to the Front Range. The race is 100% trails, mainly single and some double track, in the beautiful Pike National Forest at altitude of 6,700 to 8,100 feet in the 50K and up to 8,400 feet in the 50 Mile. The 50K has about 4,650 feet of climb, and 50 Mile about 7,350 feet. You will run through some of the burn areas, but most of the course is in pristine pine and aspen forest. The beautiful scenery, friendly aid stations and generous time cutoffs make North Fork an excellent choice for first-time ultramarathoners as well as veterans. For those who don't regularly run mountain trails, the race is very challenging, but speedsters used to altitude will find the course quite runable. See the race website for all the details.

Winners' awards and age group awards in each race. Age group awards to first 3 finishers in 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60-69, and to the first 70+ finisher. Runners get high quality tech T-shirts, unique finisher awards, a fabulous post-race barbecue and the satisfaction of a job well done.
