The Dam Ducky Derby and Festival, now in its sixth year, annually draws 3,500 visitors. Main Street in Downtown Evergreen is transformed into a fun, family oriented festival with games, food and live music.
Be the First Lucky Duck to cross the finish line and win $1,500. Second Prize wins $750, Third Prize wins $500, Fourth prize wins $150 and Fifth Prize wins $100. Additional Lucky Ducky prizes are awarded for 6th-10th place finishers.
The highlight of the festivities takes place at Evergreen Dam at 1:00 pm when an Evergreen Fire and Rescue ladder truck drops over 5,000 numbered ducks into the creek below. The rubber ducks race down Bear Creek and visitors follow the flow of racing ducks to the finish line at Highland Haven Creekside Inn where ducks winners are are collected for next year's race.
Kid's activities before and after the Duck Drop include games, Face painting, activities with Macaroni Kid and The Wild Game, Karate demonstrations, bouncy house, and live music by Frangelo. Kids activities will have a $1 $2 or $3 charge. T-shirts and other Duck merchandise will be on sale.

Each duck receives a unique number and winning ducks are documented as they cross the finish line.
SHUTTLE SERVICE: Three shuttle buses will run between Downtown and the following parking locations: Church of the Hills (across from the library on Buffalo Park Road) Hiwan Museum (RTD lot on Meadow Drive), and the RTD lot near Christ the King Church (Highway 74 near Dedisse Park). Three buses mean shorter wait times!! There will also be street parking and some parking spaces in the Downtown parking lot. Main street will be open.

Proceeds from the Duck Sales will benefit our community in many ways through a variety of programs and services, support area non-profit organizations, and will be used to fund the annual Evergreen Downtown Holiday Walk on Friday December 4, 2015.
