Do you know why a hummingbird's beak is long and pointy? Or why the tip of an eagle's strong bill is hooked? Learn about why bird beaks are shaped the way they are, and how a beak gives us clues about the birds' food, habitat, and behavior.

 

Program details

This program is specifically designed for children ages 3-5 years with an adult.  We ask that your child has reached his/her third birthday before participating in this class.

 

Participant limit: 15 preschoolers (3 -5 years old)

 

During this program, we will go explore just outside the nature center. Please bring a jacket, hat, or sunscreen as needed.

Registration for this program is available one month before the date of the program.  If you are registering during this time, but space is no longer available, please call Lookout Mountain Nature Center at 720-497-7600 to be placed on a waiting list.
