We'll walk through the park, identifying common edible and medicinal plants native to a riparian, Colorado habitat.

 

Program Details
All ages/Family

 

You will check-in with the naturalist by the kiosk in the main parking lot of Lair o' the Bear Park.

 

You will be walking at a leisurely pace along the creek. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, and anything else you may need to enjoy the day. Please dress for the weather. 

 

Don't forget to bring a camera or notebook to record your findings. You will not be allowed to collect any plants.

 

Please leave pets at home.

 

Let's play and learn outside! Our programs go rain, snow, or shine! So, dress accordingly. We will cancel the program if the weather is hazardous or unsafe. If a program is canceled we will send an e-mail and/or call each registered participant. You can also check the event listing. We usually make the call to cancel within 24 hours of the program

Office hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday-Sunday, inquiries made after 4 pm may not be answered until the following day. LMNC is closed on Mondays.
