Jeffco Open Space is seeking “boots on the ground” to restore trails at Alderfer/Three Sisters Park in Evergreen on Saturday, October 17. Registration is open until midnight Thursday, October 15 atwww.jeffcoopenspace.eventbrite.com. The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with trail restoration in the morning and the afternoon reserved for a grilled lunch and activities near the Alderfer Ranch Barn. Prizes from supporters will be awarded at the trails event, from such companies as Ahnu, LifeStraw, Clif Bar, Optic Nerve, Mountain Khakis and Rainbow Sandals. Evergreen Park & Recreation District invites participants to come to the “Boogie at the Barn” that night starting at 5:30 p.m.
