The exhibition at Center for the Arts Evergreen, Off The Page, considers the evolution and association of printmaking and book arts. The advancement of digital media and internet search engines has altered the way that we seek and find information as well as our relationship to books and printed matter. The artists included in this exhibition explore the interplay of media, structure and format using a wide interpretation of the boundaries and function of books in contemporary art. Works include artist's books, zines, sculptural books, book objects, altered books, book installations, and performance-based book works. These works will be presented during the Month of Printmaking (Mo'Print), a celebration of the art of making original prints to inspire, educate and promote awareness through a variety of public events and exhibitions in Denver and the metropolitan region.
The exhibit runs March 4-March 31.
