The guest speaker will be Vice Admiral Jay Donnelly, USN Ret., who finished his distinguished 35-year submarine career as Commander, Submarine Forces / Submarine Force Atlantic / Allied Submarine Command  in 2010.  He is currently an executive with Huntington Ingalls Newport News, one of the two companies that build Virginia Class submarines.  He is also Vice President of the Navy League of the United States. Vice Admiral Donnelly will provide an overview of the US Submarine Force and the submarine construction process.

The evening's emcee will be Steffan Tubbs of KOA Radio and Mountain Time Media; a reporter who has dedicated a significant part of his life to our troops and the military. He is the author of “Life, Liberty and Resilience: A Man’s War on Three Fronts.”  In 2010 and 2012, he traveled with WWII veterans to the island of Iwo Jima, in 2011, he traveled with WWII veterans to Normandy to commemorate the D-Day anniversary, and many times he’s traveled to Hawaii with Pearl Harbor survivors.  Steffan Tubbs is a great friend to or military, active duty services personnel, and our veterans. 

There will be a celebration of the Submarine Force Birthday with a special cake, a birthday toast, and a small silent auction.
