Millions of Americans take care of a loved one.  This care is unpaid, doesn’t come with training and doesn’t necessarily come at the best time. Other responsibilities don’t go away, and as rewarding as taking care of someone can be, this all adds up to an overwhelming experience.

This is the reason that Seniors’ Resource Center (SRC), through a grant from The Colorado Respite Coalition, is offering caregiver classes from Lori Lemasters. Lemasters is the founder of www.CarePartnersResource.com, a free membership site that assists caregivers with the daily challenges of caring for a loved one. Lori was a caregiver to both of her parents for the final eight years of their lives. Since their passing, she has worked with professional and family caregivers, helping identify their needs as a caregiver and offering practical ways to free time for self-care.

The classes are free and open to the public. Participants are free to come to any class, whether they’ve attended before or not. Caregivers will benefit from the company of other caregivers and come away empowered with new ways to approach caregiving.
