It’s Friday the 13th and the night sky has been the source of many mythic tales for countless cultures throughout history.  Listen to these stories and wonder, doubt, or even believe the superstitions surrounding the stars.

Ages 10 years and older with an adult.

You will meet the naturalist near the kiosk of Hildebrand Ranch Park. Just off the parking lot.

Bring cold weather clothing. It will be chilly once the sun goes down. We also recommend water, folding chairs or blanket for sitting, and a flashlight to light your way back to the parking lot.

There will be little to no hiking for this program; only a 1/2 mile gentle, easy walk.

Please leave pets at home.

Let's play and learn outside! Our programs go rain, snow, or shine! So, dress accordingly. Cloudy skies may not be a reason for us to cancel. Our astronomy programs often have other activities besides telescope viewing and weather conditions can change quickly in Colorado!

We will cancel the program if the weather is hazardous or unsafe. If a program is canceled we will send an e-mail and/or call each registered participant. You can also check the event listing. We usually make the call to cancel within 24 hours of the program
