Park County Sheriff’s Office, Fairplay Dispatch Center, the Park County Office of Emergency Management and Platte Canyon Fire Protection District are running the 2nd Park County Wildfire Preparation Drill on June 11th, 2016. The drill will take place this year in the Deer Creek Valley Ranchos subdivision and will involve a simulated evacuation of homes under wildfire threat. All district residents are highly encouraged to enrolled their phone numbers in the county’s emergency alert system, linked here. This free and easy enrollment allows a homeowner to be notified for evacuations.
