“More Challenging, More Wild, More Ultra”

The Grand-Daddy of all the Human Potential Running Series Races, The Silverheels 100. Put on your dancing shoes and bring everything you’ve got in you to tackle this monster of a 100 miler. A true mountain hundred with long climbs and descents, spanning the Colorado High Country, Silverheels will challenge you in ways Colorado hundreds should.

Our large out-and-back course sends runners to abandoned gold mines, over a high mountain ridge at two locations all while traversing singletrack trails and ATV roads at an average elevation of 11,000’.

Finish the Silverheels 100 and receive the coveted Silverheels Buckle!

COURSE DETAILS

UTMB/ITRA: This race has been evaluated and certified by the International TrailRunning Association. It is a UTMB Qualifier worth 6 Points.

HARDROCK: We are dedicated on working towards the Silverheels 100 being a qualifying run for the Hardrock 100-Mile Endurance Run. This is not as easy a task as many runners would like, yet we are dedicated to making this happen. The last response anyone got from members of the Hardrock Board about Silverheels as a qualifier was this: “We looked at Silverheels at our last Board meeting.  I expect it will be a qualifier eventually, but we have a policy that a race be held twice before we add it to the list.  Typically, we will then include past runnings of it as well.” This by no means guarantees that Silverheels will indeed be a Hardrock Qualifier, but we are hopeful and we hope you will be too. Should Silverheels 100 be accepted as a Hardrock Qualifier, finishers from 2015 will be grandfathered in and can use their 2015 Finish towards Hardrock 2017 Qualifying. Also, finishers of our 2016 edition would be able to use Silverheels as a Hardrock Qualifier for 2017 and 2018, again, providing Silverheels is accepted as a qualifier. So SIGN UP!

Course: The course begins an ends at Cohen Park located in Fairplay, CO. PLEASE NOTE: The Silverheels 100-Mile Endurance Run takes place in a delicate mountain environment. The route utilizes a variety of properties owned and/or managed by Park County, The Town of Fairplay, The United States Forest Service, and numerous Private Land Owners. All of these relationships, especially those with private land owners, are also delicate in nature. Simply put, it is not our right to hold this race, it is a privilege. While we welcome and encourage you to train on the course, we ask that you please be careful to only utilize the course via the route which has been fully approved by all parties. NEVER travel onto private property and be respectful of all private lands. Leave it better than you found it and above all else, leave no trace, take only pictures. Those who so choose to use unapproved private lands will be swiftly banned from any and all HPRS events for LIFE.
