Stroll with a Native Plant Master along easy trails identifying and naming local plants. Search for spring flowers and discover the importance of native plants to wildlife and humans.

Native Plant Masters are certified experts in Colorado's native flora. They are volunteers with a passion for plants and have received special training from Colorado State University Extension who then share that knowledge with the others. Join us for a walk through the wealth of native wildflowers, grasses, trees, and shrubs that Jefferson County has to offer.

Ages 10 years to adult.

You will meet the naturalist in the main parking lot of Meyer Ranch Park on Hwy 285 near the trailhead.

The hike will take place on Lodgepole Loop trail and will be an easy hike with frequent stops to see what is in bloom!

Wear sturdy hiking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring water, snacks, sunscreen, etc. as needed.
