Ages 13 years to adult.
Stroll with a Native Plant Master along easy trails and discover the variety of wildflowers that live in a riparian habitat. Learn their documented historical uses by natives & settlers.
Native Plant Masters are certified experts in Colorado's native flora. They are volunteers with a passion for plants and have received special training from Colorado State University Extension who then share that knowledge with the others. Join us for a walk through the wealth of native wildflowers, grasses, trees, and shrubs that Jefferson County has to offer.
You will meet the naturalist in the main parking lot of Lair o' the Bear Park by the kiosk. The hike will take place on Creekside and Bruin Bluff trail and will be an easy hike with frequent stops to see what is in bloom!
Wear sturdy hiking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring water, snacks, sunscreen, etc. as needed.
