Blue Spruce Kiwanis/Evergreen Park & Recreation District will rename Buffalo Park Field in Evergreen to Greg Henika Field to honor the longtime community volunteer who passed away last year. 

 

Blue Spruce Kiwanis will hold a luncheon for the community at 12 PM on Friday July 29th in the Pavilion at Wulf Rec Center (5300 S Olive Rd, Evergreen, CO 80439),  followed by the dedication at 1:30 PM at the field, a short walk away. 

 

During the dedication, longtime Kiwanis member John Ellis will speak about Greg as a person and friend, EPRD Executive Director Ellen O'Connor will speak about Greg as a community contributor, and Kiwanis President Dave Krieg will talk about Henika's commitment to Blue Spruce Softball teams during many years of play on the field. Henika's wife Joy will also attend.
