Join the Park County Historical Society on Saturday, October 15th for the last dinner and history presentation for 2016. Dr. Peter Modreski's presentation to the PCHS last April was about the geology of Park County that focused mainly on the Bailey area and the ancient, crystalline rocks of the Front Range that underlie it—gneiss, schist, and granite. For this next presentation, he will move west and concentrate on South Park...“quite a different chunk of geology”.
There is an $8.00 at the door charge. Dinner will start at 5:00. The presentation around 5:30. Call (303) 838-8241 with any questions. RSVP not necessary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5LQcY_SSqY
Come early to get your commemorative cup featuring Rhodochrosite from the Sweet Home Mine on Mount Bross near Alma.
