Deputies serve the community in more ways than one! Each year, as part of the Tip-a-Cop event, JeffCo deputies join Red Robin wait staff to serve meals and solicit tips from patrons to benefit Special Olympics. Deputies wear aprons over their uniforms and greet customers during their restaurant visit.

During Tip-a-Cop, the officers explain the Special Olympics program and solicit donations separate from the customary wait-staff tips.

In 2013, the tips raised exceeded those in 2012 by $4,160 for a total of $65,290 towards Special Olympics. We hope to raise even more this year!
