Local musician, television, and radio performer Rex Rideout will take us back to the earliest observances of Christmas in the west.  He will perform contemporary Victorian Christmas Carols as well as other favorite carols from earlier times.  He will tell stories, sing songs, and take us back to the roots of Christmas in the Rocky Mountain Region and beyond. This is truly a special event that mixes history with the holiday.

Rex is generously performing this show "on the prairie" (free of charge) and all proceeds will benefit The Conifer Historical Society and The Venue Theatre. Tickets are only $10 each. In addition, we will collect food items for The Mountain Resource Center at the door.  This is a great opportunity to support three local non-profits in one memorable evening

I will be offering a show of Christmas in the old West December 22 at the Venue Theatre in Conifer at 7:00PM. I will be telling of the first celebrations of Christmas out in the Rockies as well as singing and playing Victorian Christmas carols on a variety of stringed instruments. I've done parts of this show before but never like this. All ticket sales will be a benefit for the Venue Theatre and the Conifer Historical Society. Canned goods will also be gratefully received by the Mountain Resource Center. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased and seating reserved in the link below or purchased at the door.
