The Evergreen Lake Plunge was the biggest ever in 2016! Read the Canyon Courier article about the event.

At high noon on New Year’s Day at Evergreen Lake, snow or shine, you too can jump into the inviting waters for a winter plunge! You’d be joining several local personalities, some more notorious than others, in their New Year’s Day bath in the icy Rocky Mountain waters.

In partnership with Evergreen Fire/Rescue and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office the event is a fundraiser for Drive Smart and Evergreen Parks & Recreation District Special Needs Program.

A 10-foot by 10-foot area, four to five feet deep, will be cut out of the ice and equipped with a platform, ladder and Evergreen Fire Department water rescue personnel to ensure everyone’s safety.

Registration is $35 in advance, $45 at the door and can be purchased online.
