Donate, Volunteer or Shop for a Good Cause

Looking to furnish a college dorm or first apartment or to get some new clothes for back-to-school? Or are you looking to unload some household items you have no use for or want to downsize your home? Your best opportunity to pick up some bargains or donate to a good cause is Evergreen Lutheran Church’s 26^th Annual Grove Sale, to be held on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, from 7:30 AM-3 PM.

The Grove Sale raises about $30,000 a year, and 100% of the proceeds go to mountain-area people in need, through local non-profits Mount Evans Home Health Care and Hospice, Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO), the Mountain Pregnancy Center, the Mountain Resource Center, the Seniors Resource Center, Loaves and Fishes in Idaho Springs, and referred individuals.

There are three ways to get involved: Donate, volunteer, and buy!

Donate

Donated items will be received Monday–Wednesday, Aug. 7-9, from 9 AM-8 PM, and Thursday, Aug. 10, from 9 AM-1 PM. Items should be clean and in good repair. We do not accept large appliances, computers, tires or mattresses. All donations are tax-deductible.

Help

Volunteers are welcome! During the week before the Grove Sale, volunteers from both the congregation and the mountain community work together to donate items, sort the goods, and put them on display. It takes between 50 and 70 volunteers each day to make the sale happen, and Scouts and the Civil Air Patrol are among the volunteers.

Buy

Visit Evergreen Lutheran Church on Saturday, Aug. 12, and scoop up bargains on everything from outdoor toys, to weed whackers, to office supplies, to furniture, and so much more!
